The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight round contest which will be broadcast live on the streaming platform.
Briton Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the pair met personally to build hype for the upcoming boxing match.
Ex twice unified boxing king Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Fighter's Mentality
"I will break his face and hurt his body. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, stated.
"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I intend to really want to cause him pain. That's my intention."
Civil Interaction
Despite those words, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually known for his theatrics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul instead criticized ex Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "not serious" after Ngannou declined a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, targeted British opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a large bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] outshines Fury - he's present here," the boxer said.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Fighter
In spite of declaring he will punish Paul, Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he remarked.
Jake Paul's History
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.
He was defeated by British fighter Fury in 2023.
Commercial Attraction
Nevertheless, the relative newcomer continues to be one of boxing's biggest commercial attractions, frequently receiving massive financial rewards.
Prediction and Belief
The 28-year-old forecast a KO victory in rounds four or five and claimed he would stop the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently being planned for 2026.
"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul said.
Size Disparity
As the two fighters met for the customary stare-down, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it emphasized just how improbable this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the match is actually going ahead.
